Description
Sputnik is a C language program that searches dna sequence files in Fasta format for microsatellite repeats. A sequence file is specified on the command line and the resulting hits are written to stdout along with their position in the sequence, length, and a score determined by the length of the repeat and the number of errors. Running the application using modules
To use sputnik with the environment modules system at HPC the following commands are available:
Get module information for sputnik:
$module spider sputnik
Load the default application module:
$module load sputnik
The modulefile for this software adds the directory with executable files to the shell execution PATH and sets the following environment variables:
- HPC_SPUTNIK_DIR - directory where sputnik is located.
