CMake is a cross-platform, open-source build system. CMake is a family of tools designed to build, test and package software. CMake is used to control the software compilation process using simple platform and compiler independent configuration files. CMake generates native makefiles and workspaces that can be used in the compiler environment of your choice. Template:App Location

Running the application using modules

To use cmake with the environment modules system at HPC the following commands are available:

Get module information for cmake:

$module spider cmake

Load the default application module:

$module load cmake

The modulefile for this software adds the directory with executable files to the shell execution PATH and sets the following environment variables:

  • HPC_CMAKE_DIR - directory where cmake is located.
  • HPC_CMAKE_BIN - executable directory
  • HPC_CMAKE_DOC - documentation directory
  • HPC_CMAKE_INC - includes directory
